About This Call
The 50th Annual Fourth Street Festival of the Arts and Fine Crafts takes place Labor Day Weekend 2026 in Bloomington, Indiana on Fourth Street between Lincoln Street and Indiana Avenue. The festival runs Saturday, September 5, 10 am to 6 pm and Sunday, September 6, 10 am to 5 pm, drawing an estimated 35,000-45,000 art-savvy patrons over the two-day period. This is a rigorously juried art event run by artists, for artists, created to provide a high quality outdoor art event and educational environment to create connections with art and artists. Admission is free and the festival welcomes all.
The festival accepts 125 juried artists across multiple medium categories including ceramics, fiber, glass, 2D/mixed media, jewelry, painting, photography, sculpture/3D mixed media, and wood. All work must be original and created by the artist. Submissions are juried online by an independent peer jury. A minimum of $3,000 will be awarded by on-site jurors, with best of show and 1st place in 2D and 3D receiving automatic invitations to the 2026 show. Artists receive listing on the show website, hotel blocks at host hotels, complimentary breakfast and coffee both mornings, booth sitters, and 24-hour security.
Applications are accepted online until midnight April 20, 2026. The non-refundable application fee is $35. Accepted artists must pay a $400 booth fee by July 1, 2026 (commitment to exhibit). Corner booths and booths with extra footage cost $50-200 depending on size and location. Applicants must submit five images: four of artwork and one booth shot showing a stocked booth with all three tent walls visible, with no image of the artist, artist's name, or business name. Notifications will be sent by June 4, 2026 via email. The last day to cancel with a refund (minus $50 processing fee) is July 15, 2026. Check-in is Friday, September 4, 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Load-in on Saturday, September 5 is 6:30 am to 8:30 am (dolly-in only due to water barricades). Contact: 812-575-0484.
