About This Call
The 31st Annual Foundation Arts Festival 2020 is a juried makers retail show curated by the Long Beach Island Foundation of the Arts & Sciences Arts & Exhibition Committee. The Festival is scheduled for Saturday, July 18, 2020 from 10am-5pm, with a rain date of Sunday, July 19. A Preview Cocktail Party for members is scheduled for Friday, July 17 from 5-7pm in the Gallery for indoor vendors only.
The Foundation seeks artists who create handmade, original work. Seasoned or new artisans creating unique, high-quality handmade products are encouraged to apply. Products designed by the artist and produced in small quantities within the continental U.S. are also acceptable. All mediums are welcome. Work must be handmade with no commercially produced work, kits, or imported goods. All jewelry must be hand-crafted and contain no more than 40% purchased components. Artists may only exhibit works in the media they were juried into. Resellers are not permitted. The call is open to all artists 18 years or older. Entry fee is $25.00 (non-refundable). Applicants must submit 3-6 images of representative work.
Accepted artists must submit booth fee payment by April 6, 2020. Outdoor booth spaces (10'x10' at $225 or 10'x20' at $400) are available on gravel in open air. Indoor gallery spaces (10'x10' at $350 or limited 8'x6' at $295) are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Outdoor booths must withstand Northeast weather conditions with canopies weighted or staked against wind, requiring at least 40 pounds per leg. Indoor vendors show Friday and Saturday; outdoor vendors show Saturday only. Artists must attend the entire Festival and items must match type and quality submitted for jurying. Overnight security is provided. Demonstrations are supported and demo artists receive additional marketing. The jury panel includes 3-4 jurors who determine category balance and select artists. Cancellations made on or before May 1, 2020 receive a refund less a $50 processing fee; after May 1, all vendor fees are non-refundable.
