FOTOGRAFÍA 2021 | Inaugural Photography Exhibition | Mexico City

FOTOGRAFÍA 2021 is an inaugural photography exhibition exploring contemporary photography. The competition is open to photographers at least 18 years old. All genres, photography formats, and print mediums are acceptable. Entries will be juried and selected based on technical application, originality, and concept.

Applicants must submit 5-20 images. The entry fee is $45.00 plus a $5.00 media fee. PRPG.mx will print and frame accepted artists' work as part of the paid application, eliminating shipping costs to Mexico City. Selected finalists will be invited to exhibit their work at PRPG.mx in Mexico City. Artists selected for the exhibition will be featured with their photos in a book published by Dab Art Co., which will be added to the permanent catalog in the LACMA (Los Angeles County Museum of Art) Balch Art Research Library. A selection of artists will be chosen to participate in PRPG.mx's Visiting Artists program, featuring interviews about their process and work. A panel discussion will be held with three distinguished jurors discussing exhibition highlights and selections. Some exhibitors will receive a complimentary copy of the exhibition publication.

The exhibition takes place at PRPG.mx, a Dab Art Co. satellite gallery located in Colonia Centro, Mexico City, in a 1910s-era building in the heart of Mexico City's cultural zone. The curator is Micheal Swank. The three distinguished jurors are Enrique Ibarra Pineda, Luis Flores Reyes, and Cameron Hurdus.
