fotofoto gallery: 8th Annual Photography Competition

The competition is open to all US residents 18 years of age or older, excluding members of fotofoto gallery. Any photographic medium including digital and alternative processes will be accepted. The maximum height or width of framed work cannot exceed 36 inches. Free-standing pieces cannot be accepted.

Approximately 40 photographs will be chosen for a four-week exhibition from November 30 to December 30, 2012. A reception will be held December 1st, 5-7PM at the gallery's location, 14 West Carver St., Huntington, NY. To ensure the cohesiveness of the exhibition, work should be framed in a simple black or dark color with neutral museum quality mats. Naomi Rosenblum will select 1st, 2nd, 3rd place and honorable mention awards, with prizes furnished by sponsors and fotofoto gallery.

Submissions must be made via the CaFE system; mail-in entries will not be considered. Images must conform to CaFE formatting standards. A minimum of 5 images and a maximum of 15 images must be submitted. Entry fee is $40 for 5 images, with an additional $5 per image for images 6-15. The submission deadline is October 7th at midnight MDT. Entrants will be notified October 19, and framed winning photographs are due November 11.
