fotofoto gallery 14th National Photography Competition

The competition is open to all US residents 18 years of age or older, excluding fotofoto gallery artists. Any photographic medium including digital and alternative processes will be accepted. The maximum height or width of framed work cannot exceed 24 inches. Free-standing pieces cannot be accepted.

Approximately 30 photographs will be chosen for the nearly six-week exhibition held November 28, 2018 - January 5, 2019. Dr. Charles A. Riley, director of Nassau County Museum of Art, will select 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners with cash prizes of $500, $300, and $200 respectively. To ensure the cohesiveness of the exhibition, work should be framed in simple black or white frames with neutral museum quality mats. Shipping information will be provided to selected artists upon completion of the jury process. The reception will be held Saturday, December 1, 2018, 5-7 PM at fotofoto gallery, 14 West Carver St., Huntington, NY 11743.

Entry fee is $40 for 5 images, with an additional $5 per image for images 6-15 (maximum 15 total). All entries must be submitted via the CaFE system; mail-in entries will not be considered. Images must conform to CaFE formatting standards. Notifications will be sent October 23, 2018. Framed photographs must be received by November 17, 2018.
