Foto Forum Santa Fe Photography Award

Foto Forum Santa Fe is accepting entries for the 2022 Foto Forum Santa Fe Photography Award, an annual international competition open to emerging and established artists. The selected photographer receives a $2,500 cash prize, $500 gift certificate to Visions Photo Lab, and a two-month solo exhibition at the downtown Santa Fe gallery. Second Place receives a $500 cash prize, placement of 3 prints in the gallery art racks, and a two-month online gallery show featured on the website.

Photographers are invited to submit 6 to 12 images from a related body of work that is ready for exhibition. All applicants must submit a portfolio of photographic images, a C.V., and an Artist Statement. The 2022 juror is multimedia artist Hulleah J. Tsinhnahjinnie, who will choose the winner based on creativity, cohesion, maturity, and quality of the individual photographs. The selected winner will work with Executive Director Sage Paisner to curate the final exhibition, which may include works not submitted with the application.

Entry fees are tiered: $35 early bird through December 31st, 2021; $45 from January 1st through February 17th, 2022; and $50 late entry through March 7th, 2022. Students, seniors, and members should email [email protected] for a 10% discount coupon. Results will be announced in mid-April, with the solo exhibition opening June 3rd, 2022. Eligibility is open to all artists 18 years or older. Foto Forum Santa Fe is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that creates an artistic space to explore the current relationship between photography, storytelling, science, and technology through artist exhibitions, workshops, visiting artist lectures, research, and community outreach.
