FOTO 2024 | Photography Publication + Exhibition

FOTO 2024 is a photography publication and exhibition that explores the influence of photography on contemporary art, highlighting its roles in cultural commentary, documentation, journalism, and conveying political and historical narratives. The call celebrates photography's versatility by assembling all photographic genres, formats, and applications.

The exhibition officially launches July 6th, 2024, with artists and artworks reviewed and added monthly. All selected artists and their work will be featured on Dama Gallery's website and on the international sales platform Artsy, which attracts tens of thousands of unique views in addition to 2.5 million visitors to the Artsy platform. Selected photographers may also receive a feature spread in the publication, a three-month online exclusive solo exhibition, and an artist interview released on the Gallery Podcast. Artists chosen for the exhibition will be featured in a hardcover photography book; each selected artist receives a free digital copy, and the full-color folio is available for purchase. Copies will be donated to the Fine Arts Library at the University of Texas at Austin and the LACMA Balch Art Research Library in Los Angeles for their permanent collections. The publication releases January 10, 2025, and the exhibition closes January 31, 2025.

Entry fee is $45 for 5 images; additional images cost $5 each, with a maximum of 20 images. All photographic mediums and applications are accepted. Work must be original, unsold, and the artist must own sole copyright. Selected work must remain available for sale for the duration of the project. Dama Gallery retains a 50% commission on sales. Sales remittance occurs 5-7 business days after sale close and/or upon buyer payment finalization. Entries submitted by November 30, 2024 are considered for current exhibition. Entries are reviewed weekly with selections made throughout the month.
