About This Call
Fabian Freese Artspace invites artists from around the world to apply for ForwART 2026, an international group exhibition featuring contemporary art. The gallery is seeking 10 artists whose work will be exhibited in Wuppertal, Germany, near Cologne and Düsseldorf.
All submissions must be wall-hanging pieces including paintings, drawings, photography, mixed media, wall sculpture, or objects. Maximum dimensions are 1 meter height x 1 meter width x 50 cm depth. The application fee is $49 USD for the selection and curation process. No additional costs are charged for selected artists. The exhibition runs from March 7 to April 17, 2026, with an opening reception on Saturday, March 7 at 5:00 PM.
One artist from the 10 selected will be chosen by the jury to receive gallery representation and will be awarded a solo show at Fabian Freese Artspace by the end of 2026. Selected artists are responsible for shipping their artworks to the gallery and returning them after the exhibition. Application deadline: February 15, 2026.
