Fort Worth Kroger Mural Project - Request for Qualifications

The Arts Council of Fort Worth seeks professional artists living in North Texas to design and fabricate large-scale murals for two new Kroger stores. Two artists will each be awarded $10,000 to cover the artist's fee and all costs associated with design, fabrication, delivery, and installation supervision.

Artists should submit qualifications by August 14, 2016 at 11:59 p.m. Up to six finalists will be selected to prepare mural design proposals and participate in an interview process. Finalists will receive a $250 honorarium for creating a design proposal and participating in the selection process. Selected finalists must sign a Statement of Understanding acknowledging that their proposal can be designed, fabricated, and transported within the project budget, and must agree to sign a "Work for Hire" agreement with the Arts Council of Fort Worth.

Project Timeline: Finalists notified August 19, 2016. Proposal presentation to selection panel on September 1, 2016. Final two artists notified September 2, 2016. Final design review September 16, 2016. Mural installation scheduled for November-December 2016. Work samples required: minimum 4, maximum 6 images.
