About This Call
The Fort Collins Studio Tour is a juried exhibition of working artists' studios in the Fort Collins area. To be eligible, your studio must have a Fort Collins, Bellvue, or Laporte, Colorado address and zip code, or be within the following boundary roads: County Road 5 on the East, County Road 30 on the South, Highway 1 on the North, and Lory State Park/Horsetooth Mountain Park/Roosevelt National Forest on the West.
Participation options and fees are: Individual Artist ($150), Educational/Non-profit Facility ($200), Small Group Studio 2-4 Artists ($250), Mid-size Group Studio 5-14 Artist members ($500), and Large Group Studio 15+ Artist members ($750). All participating artists must be present in their studio during the event, June 25-26, 2011, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. both days. Artists must provide an educational experience by demonstrating their artistic process or displaying information about their processes, tools, materials, and techniques. Temporary studio set-ups are not permitted; artists must participate in their actual regular studio space.
Applications require 5 digital images of different artwork pieces completed since June 2008 that are representative of work on view during the Studio Tour. This is a juried competition. Jurors will evaluate work for technical proficiency, aesthetic ability in composition and design, unique style, personal vision, consistency, and original design and manufacture. Accepted artists will be notified March 28, 2011, with participation fees due April 9, 2011. Accepted artists will receive a thumbnail image in the brochure/map and may display work in the Preview Exhibition (June 23-26 at ArtLab). Application deadline: March 11, 2011 at 11:59 p.m. MST. Entry fee: $10.00.
