Forms and Figures 2024

Forms and Figures 2024 is a juried art exhibition celebrating the representation of humans, animals, objects, and abstract forms and figures in art. The exhibition seeks to highlight the interplay where forms and shapes blend harmoniously to create captivating compositions. Artists are welcome to submit work focusing on realistic representations, abstract interpretations, or experimental approaches.

The subject encompasses human figures (portraits, figures in motion, interactions, and expressions), animals and nature (mammals, birds, fish, reptiles, and pets), objects and still life, abstract representations using geometric or biomorphic forms, and architectural forms (buildings, structures, and urban landscapes). Selected artworks will be showcased in an online group exhibition from February 17 to April 17, 2024. Submission is free of charge; a USD 35 selection fee applies to selected artists only, with a money-back guarantee until the exhibition opening.

Artists can submit up to 5 artworks (1-5 images required), with a maximum of 2 artworks accepted per artist. All visual arts categories are accepted, including painting, drawing, photography, digital arts, sculpture, printmaking, and mixed media. Artworks must be original works created by the entrant without instructor supervision and not copies or derivatives of copyrighted work. Artworks created within the last 5 years are preferred, with no size limits. Selected artworks will be promoted for sales, published in an online exhibition catalogue, featured in promotional materials, and may be selected for publication in Artistonish and Observica contemporary art magazines. All selected artists receive a digital certificate and free online profile page on the Biafarin platform.
