FORM + SPACE 2024 International Juried Exhibition

The Museum of Art - DeLand presents the inaugural FORM + SPACE 2024 International Juried Exhibition, recognizing contemporary sculpture and diverse practices of artists who transform malleable materials into three-dimensional artworks. Artists working in traditional and non-traditional sculptural materials are encouraged to apply. The exhibition will be curated by Museum of Art – DeLand staff along with guest juror Eliza Au, an Assistant Professor in Ceramics at the University of North Texas and internationally exhibited artist with recent exhibitions at the Yingge Ceramics Museum, the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, and the Mesa Contemporary Art Museum.

Artists may submit up to three artworks for consideration at $10 per artwork. Each submission requires 1-3 high-quality images (minimum 1920 pixels on longest side) or one video file per artwork. All work must be original and produced within the last three years. Artists from any country may apply; artists must be 18 or older. Works in any media are accepted, including digital works, though artists are responsible for supplying all technology needed for digital works.

Wall-hanging works are restricted to a maximum of 50 pounds per hanging component. There is no size limit, but the gallery ceiling height is 10 feet and all work components must fit through an elevator (80in x 49in x 73in, with door opening 80in x 40in). The exhibition will be on display October 4 – December 29, 2024, at the Museum of Art - DeLand downtown location in DeLand, FL. Prizes include First Place ($2,000 and a 2026 or 2027 exhibition), Second Place ($1,000), and Third Place ($500). Artwork will be insured while on site; artists are responsible for shipping costs and insurance during transit. Shipped artwork must arrive September 10-13, or hand delivery is available by appointment September 18-20. Artists installing their own work must complete installation by September 27. Work may be picked up January 2-4 or January 7-9, 2025.
