Forage Group Show

Forage is the second annual group show presented by Dorado 806 Projects, a California coast-based arts and culture collective in Santa Monica. The exhibition runs from September 18 to October 12, 2024, and is curated by Amelie Laurice and Meghan DeRoma. The show focuses on works that explore reuse, found objects, or the repurposing of elements, with this year's theme centered on Ocean. Show activations will incorporate a local charity partner focusing on ocean preservation and restoration.

All submitted work must be original, unsold, and incorporate a found, repurposed, or recycled component in the finished piece. Accepted media include painting, drawing, printmaking, fiber, and sculpture. Artwork must be under 24 inches in every direction; series submissions are permitted if each piece meets the size requirement. All selected work must remain available for sale throughout the exhibition. Entry fee is $35 for up to 3 pieces per submission, with additional submissions permitted. Artists should submit 1-5 clear, well-lit images at 2MB or above, cropped to the edges, with the artist name and piece title included in the file name.

Sales are split 60/40, with 60% going to the artist and 40% to Dorado 806 Projects. This split also applies to any work sold by the artist after the show as a direct result of the exhibition. Sales remittance will be provided within 14 business days after payment is received. Artists are responsible for shipping their work to the Santa Monica drop-off location or arranging their own shipping with appropriate protective packaging.
