For Pastels Only

This is a call for pastel paintings open to all pastelists. Submissions are accepted for up to 5 paintings per artist.

Eligibility requirements: Paintings must be entirely the work of the submitting artist and cannot be copied from others' work, published material, or photographs taken by another artist. Paintings done under supervision such as a workshop or class are not eligible. Artwork must be at least 80% soft pastels (no oil pastels), created within the last three years, and priced for sale by the artist. Paintings cannot have been previously shown in any PPSCC FPO exhibition, won one of the top 4 awards in any other national or international juried pastel society show as of the entry deadline, been entered into an online show running concurrently with this exhibition, or previously shown at the Cultural Center. All paintings must be professionally framed with a clean mat (if used) and cannot use saw-tooth hangers.

Entry fees: PPSCC Members pay $35 for the first 3 paintings and $10 for each additional painting. Non-members pay $45 for the first 3 paintings and $10 for each additional painting. Submit high-quality JPEG image files at least 1500 pixels on the longest edge with a maximum file size of 30 MB. Images must be cropped to show only the artwork with correct orientation. Entry deadline is May 9, 2025. Entry fees are non-refundable and entries cannot be accepted or changed after the deadline.
