Footprint

Art Saint Louis presents "Footprint," an all-media juried visual art exhibition featuring artworks that address the marks and impressions we leave physically, emotionally, on the planet, in society, and our footprint as we walk through our lives. This can also apply to marks left on the surface of an artwork. All explorations and interpretations of this theme are invited, and all media, styles, and techniques are encouraged.

The exhibition is open to artists 21 years of age and older living in the St. Louis, Missouri region and surrounding 200-mile radius. Artists must be residents of the St. Louis region/200-mile radius when the show begins on August 1, 2020, in order to submit work and participate if selected. The exhibition will be held at Art Saint Louis Gallery, 1223 Pine Street in downtown St. Louis, from August 1-September 10, 2020, with a free reception on Saturday, August 1, 2020, 5-7 p.m.

Entry fees are $20 for Art Saint Louis members and $35 for non-members. Submissions must include 1-6 images and 0-3 videos (9 total samples maximum). Artworks must be created/completed between 2017-2020 and not previously exhibited in any Art Saint Louis Gallery exhibit. Limit 3 original artworks per artist. Awards of Excellence will be selected by the jurors, including one $250 Best of Show Award of Excellence and four non-cash Awards of Excellence. All five award recipients will be eligible for the "Honor Awards 2021" ten-artist curated exhibit presented at Art Saint Louis, June 12-July 15, 2021. The jurying process is blind/anonymous, with jurors viewing only artwork information (title, year, media, dimensions, display method, and optional artist statement) without artist names.
