Foothills Art Center Members' Show 2024

Foothills Art Center is pleased to announce the call for its annual exhibition featuring artist members' diverse artistic talents and techniques. The exhibition will be held in the Large Gallery upstairs of the new Astor House location from February 2 – April 21, 2024.

Eligibility is open to current members of FAC only. Lapsed members and non-members are not eligible but may join through www.foothillsartcenter.org prior to entry. The entry fee is $15. Up to 3 works may be entered, with a maximum of 1 selected. All media are eligible, including alternative media. Artwork must be original (no reproductions, exceptions made for digital works), for sale with FAC retaining a 40% commission on sales, and not previously shown at FAC. Two-dimensional work must be suitably framed with all hardware ready for hanging; all other work must be installation ready with instructions if necessary. There is no size restriction, though larger works will be assessed for effective use of scale.

Work will be juried by FAC Exhibitions Staff based on: exceptional use of media (15%), rendering of subject matter (15%), effective use of color and contrast (15%), originality of content (20%), overall concept (15%), strong use of composition (15%), and craftsmanship and presentation (5%, more heavily weighted for 3D works). Entry deadline is November 19, 2023. Notifications will be sent via email by 5:00 p.m. November 24, 2023. Artwork delivery is January 18-19, 2024 (10 a.m. – 1 p.m.). Artwork pickup is Monday, April 22, 2024 (10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.); mailed work will be shipped no later than April 26, 2024. For inquiries, contact Eriq Hochuli at [email protected].
