About This Call
Food Story 2025 is Gallerium's third annual juried international exhibition and publication devoted to food as a subject in art. The exhibition welcomes 2D and 3D artworks in all mediums—representational or abstract—that engage thoughtfully with food themes. All artists worldwide are eligible to submit, regardless of age, background, or career stage. All styles and mediums are welcome, including painting, drawing, digital, mixed media, sculpture, installation, fiber art, and photography.
Themes for exploration include family gatherings, healthy versus fast food, cultural rituals and fasting, body and diet identity, food and memory, culinary artistry, kitchen scenes, sensory experiences, cooking and food preparation, restaurants and food serving, digital age dining, street foods, food in celebration and mourning, famine and abundance, spiritual nourishment, farm to table journeys, food waste and awareness, beverages, and abstract interpretations of food. Submissions should consist of 1-6 images.
Selected artworks will be featured in an exclusive international online exhibition running from September 18 to November 18, 2025. Exhibition benefits include publication in The Book of Arts, featuring in ARTSY (a leading global art collector platform), curated reviews, focused interviews, audience feedback, inclusion in an exhibition catalogue, honorable mention awards for up to 10 artists, permanent online presence with artist profiles, exhibition posters, artwork visibility badges, and visitor comments. Submission is free; only selected artists will be required to pay a small fixed selection fee to participate. The entry deadline is August 25, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. MDT.
