About This Call

Food, Glorious Food is a juried exhibition that focuses on dreams of food, feasts and all that's delicious. Artists nationwide are invited to submit original artwork in any media, including drawing, painting, photography, printmaking, mixed media, sculpture, collage, fabric work, glasswork, jewelry, and digital media. AI-generated art is not eligible, nor are works created in a workshop or class under close instruction of a teacher. No reproductions are accepted, with the exception of photography and digital art. Maximum frame size is 36" on the longest side; sculptures must be no larger than 12" in any direction.

Entry fee is $35 for the first submission, with up to three additional submissions at $5 each. Submissions must include 1-4 images. All accepted work must be framed, wired, and ready to hang or display. The exhibition runs April 16 – May 13, 2025 at The Firefly Artists Gallery, 90 Main St, Northport. A reception is scheduled for Saturday, April 26, 3-5pm. In-person artwork drop-off is April 10-11 (12-8pm both days); pickup is May 14-15 (12-8pm both days). Shipping is permitted but requires a prepaid return shipping label.

All art must be for sale. The gallery takes a 35% commission on sold pieces, with the sale price set during application and not subject to change. Artists must provide insurance coverage for their own works. Awards include First, Second, Third, and Honorable Mention. The Firefly Artists will photograph accepted works for publicity purposes including social media, website, and potential print advertisements. Note: The venue is located in a historic building with no wheelchair access.
