Food For Thought

SFVACC/SCORE invites artists and photographers worldwide to submit work celebrating all food, drink, cooking, eating, and thoughts about food or otherwise. Consider unique cuisine, still lifes, landscapes of fields of vegetation, and our relationship with food.

Artwork submissions are limited to six original artworks per artist in the following media: drawing, mixed media, collage, printmaking, fiber art, photography, painting, digital art, and sculpture. Work must have been created within the last three years and must be original work of the artist's or photographer's own execution. Entries must be submitted as high resolution digital .JPEG files (1-5MB), either cropped to remove background or on a black background without a mat. All juried artwork must remain online until the end of the exhibit.

Entry fee is $35 for the first artwork, with up to 5 additional entries at $5 each. Awards include Best of Show ($800), 1st Place ($400), 2nd Place ($300), and up to four Honorable Mention awards. The exhibit opens June 1, 2022 and closes June 30, 2022. A virtual artists' reception is scheduled for Saturday, June 4, 2022, 5:00-7:00 pm PST. Juror is Terry Romero Paul, a representational and abstract artist known for her dessert paintings and landscape and still life work. Acceptance notifications will be sent May 14-16, 2022, with award winners notified May 16-17, 2022.
