Juror Todd Johnson is the founder and director of Black Box Gallery, with an MFA in Photography from the San Francisco Art Institute. He has served as a portfolio reviewer for Photolucida, Critical Mass, Dodho Magazine, and Blue Sky Gallery, and has worked as an independent curator for exhibitions at institutions including Linfield College, Gallery Homeland, and The Waiting Room Gallery. Johnson has 25 years of experience in arts education and arts administration.

Entry Requirements: Submit 1-5 images (TIFF or JPEG format). Entry fee is $35. Up to 5 applications allowed per artist. International artists are eligible. Deadline: April 9, 2021 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Exhibition Dates: May 1-20, 2021. The gallery will be open by appointment only during May due to COVID-19. Twenty-four photographs will be selected for exhibition at the gallery, and an additional 30 photographs will be selected for the online gallery annex. Black Box Gallery provides free printing, matting, and framing for all exhibitions. Prints are produced on an Epson Stylus Pro archival inkjet printer on Epson Premium Luster Photo paper in a color-calibrated environment. Exhibition prints are kept in flat files after the show for future promotion and sale. Black Box Gallery takes a 50% commission on all sales, with 50% going to the photographer. Artists retain all rights to their files and prints, and no sale or printing occurs without prior consent. If an artist prefers, prints do not have to be for sale and can be used for exhibition and promotion only.
