Flourish: An Annual Juried National Exhibit of Floral and Botanical Artworks

Flourish is an annual exhibition of floral and botanical artworks from across the country. Work must depict flowers and/or plants to be considered. Works can include other objects, but the focal point/subject should focus on the floral or botanical element(s). This is the fourth annual Flourish Exhibit, coinciding with The Historic Garden Week in Virginia.

The exhibition is open to all functional, non-functional, 2D, 3D, fine art, and fine craft in all styles and mediums. Works cannot exceed 50lbs or be longer/larger than 60" in its longest dimension. Size and weight restrictions may be waived depending on artist involvement with installation; contact the Gallery Director prior to submission for questions about work qualification. This is a juried exhibition co-curated by Gallery Director Amanda Bradley and Exhibition Juror Rowena Finn, an award-winning multidisciplinary artist. The exhibition will be featured both in person and digitally on d'Art Center's archive site.

Entry fee is $35 for 3 submissions (one image per submission). Additional submissions beyond 3 are $5 each, with a maximum of 10 works to be juried. Minimum image submission is 3 images; artists may submit 3 different works, detail images, or the same image 3 times. Exhibition dates: April 19 - May 24, 2025. Reception: Friday, April 25, 2025, 5:30-7:30pm. Notifications by email by 5pm Monday, March 10, 2025. Accepted works must arrive by 5pm Saturday, April 12, 2025. Awards: 1st Place $500, 2nd Place $300, 3rd Place $150. Gallery commission on sales is 60/40 (60% artist, 40% d'Art Center). Artist is responsible for shipping costs. Works must include pre-paid return labels through UPS or FedEx. Artist statements must be 555 characters or less.
