About This Call

Florence Regional Arts Alliance (FRAA) invites artists to participate in the 3rd Annual FlorenceFest, held at the Florence Events Center on April 26 and 27, 2019. The event expects over 800 attendees and approximately 35% of artwork is sold during the show. The two-day event features jazz musicians and wine from Oregon wineries.

Juror Karin Clarke, owner and director of Karin Clarke Gallery in Eugene, will select works for exhibition. $2,500 in cash prizes are awarded: $1,000 for 1st Place, $500 for 2nd Place, $250 for 3rd Place, plus three separate $250 awards for outstanding work in 2D, 3D, and photography. A "People's Choice" award is also given based on attendee votes. Selected artists may continue exhibiting their work at the Florence Events Center in Galleries 1 and 5 through the end of May.

Applications must consist of original works created in the last 5 years. Applicants may submit up to three entries. 2D work maximum size is 48" (height) x 36" (width) including frame; 3D work must not exceed 20 pounds and 20" in width, with limited space for free-standing pieces up to 30" at widest point. 2D art must be wired and gallery-ready. Images should be high-resolution (1400-4000 pixels at largest dimension), 72 dpi, in jpeg format, limited to 3MB. Entry fees: $35 for first entry, $15 for second entry, $15 for third entry. Payment is by PayPal or credit card only. All work must be for sale; FRAA retains a 25% sales commission. Delivery of accepted work is April 24 by 4pm. Artist's Reception and prize announcement is April 25, 6-8pm. Final pickup deadline for continued display is May 28.
