Flora and Fauna: Artist Alliance Exhibition at TECHNE Art Center

This is a call for OMA Artist Alliance members to submit entries for Flora and Fauna, an exhibition at TECHNE Art Center in Oceanside, juried by gallery owner and painter Charles Thomas. The exhibition is not themed, but artists are encouraged to submit work representing their interpretation of "Flora and Fauna"—either abstract or representative work inspired by the natural world of living and growing things. Consider natural environments, plants and/or animals, their cycles of life, death, rebirth, or their relationships with humans.

Entry fee is $30 for up to 20 entries. Artists may submit between 1 and 20 artworks. All submissions must be original works of art; no giclees or reproductions except limited edition prints and photography. Artwork may be in any media or style, with tasteful nudity acceptable. Wall-mounted work has a maximum size of 10 feet in any direction. Free-standing sculpture may be up to 10'H x 6' x 6'. Works on paper must be framed with simple, neutral frames; unframed two-dimensional artwork must have finished edges or be gallery wrapped. Artwork requiring special lighting, electricity, or unusual installation methods should be discussed with [email protected] prior to entry.

The exhibition runs September 7–October 5, 2024, at TECHNE Art Center, 1609 Ord Way, Oceanside, CA 92056. Public reception is Saturday, September 7, 4:00-7:00pm. Notifications of selected works will be sent on or before Tuesday, July 23, 2024. Artwork drop-off for selected works is Monday, August 19, 2024, 12:00–3:00pm.
