Flora 2018

The Rankin Arts Photography Center (RAPC) at Columbus State University in Columbus, Georgia is seeking expressive photographs of plant life on earth. Photographers may use analog, digital or antique processes. All photographers regardless of location, age or skill level are eligible to enter.

Entry fees are $35 for up to 3 images, with $5 for each additional image up to 10 total. Selected images (40-50) will hang in the Center's main gallery space for approximately one month. Selected images must be framed (24" max. longest side) in simple black metal or black wood frames, with white mat or border. Alternatively, RAPC's master printer will print photographs upon acceptance for $25 per image on archival cotton rag paper (up to 17x22" paper size). RAPC will frame these images at no charge using 16x20 or 18x24 black wood frames. After the exhibition, printed images can be returned to the artist (with $15 shipping fee) or donated to RAPC's flat file for future access to collectors.

The juror is Paula Tognarelli, Executive Director and Curator of the Griffin Museum of Photography in Winchester, Massachusetts. Artists retain all copyrights and receive 100% of any sale price during the exhibition. Selected photographers will receive a press packet including a formal acceptance letter with signed juror's statement. Exhibition dates: Drop-off/arrival February 20-27, opens March 2, closes March 30, with return of works by April 7. RAPC does not provide lodging or transportation but has reserved a block of rooms within walking distance of the gallery in Uptown Columbus.
