About This Call
The Lab on Santa Fe is a cutting-edge gallery in Downtown Denver's Santa Fe Art District. The gallery has sold over 100 works of art in less than 12 months and is located in the area known for the world-famous First Friday Art Crawl.
Guest Curator Vonder Gray invites submissions exploring the theme: "I have lived through floods that floated my house and droughts that caused once overflowing lakes to bare the secret of their origins; bodies, cars and towns. Synonyms for floods are: deluge, torrent, cataclysm, overwhelm, swamp, inundate. Synonyms for drought are: deficiency, inadequacy, scarcity, dearth, want. Cataclysmic Insufficiency…how does that relate to your life and work? In both the personal and the abstract?"
Eligibility: Must reside in Colorado. Accepted artists must be available for drop-off on Monday, October 30 between 6-9pm. Measurements must be accurate on the application; the curator has the right to turn away work at drop-off if dimensions are not accurate. Entry fee: $35. Submit 1-3 images. Exhibition dates: November 3-25, 2023.
