About This Call

Flipside is a regional juried exhibition celebrating Denver's biennial Month of Photography (MoP). The exhibition explores non-traditional and non-commercial photography in alternative processes.

The exhibition is open to Colorado artists at least 18 years of age. All forms of alternative photo processes are eligible, including pinhole, cyanotype, wet and dry plate processes, inkodye, Polaroid art, solarisation, and photo etchings. Work must have been completed in the last two years (2015-present). Submissions may include a maximum of two images per piece. Entry fee is $10 per piece, with an additional $10 media fee. Submit 1-10 images online via CAFÉ at www.callforentry.org. Deadline to enter: January 23, 2017.

Accepted 2-D work must be framed and ready to hang (wired pieces only, no sawtooth hangers, no plastic frames, black or neutral toned only). Accepted 3-D work must include installation instructions. All artwork entered must be for sale, with the artist receiving 60% of the sale price. Sale proceeds will be paid within 30 days of the end of the exhibition. The artist is responsible for all shipping and shipping insurance costs to and from the gallery. Artwork is insured for 60% of its retail value against theft or total loss while on premises. Artists will be notified of selection via email no later than January 30, 2017. Exhibition dates: March 4 - April 21, 2017. Opening reception: March 24, 2017, 5:30-8pm.
