F**KING IT UP

Vestige Concept Gallery is seeking works from any genre of art that are accidental, experimental, mishaps, unintended, rough cuts, outtakes, or convey the artistic spirit of "let's try this!" Work could be funny, folksy, outsider, campy, and/or vulgar, but should still be commercially appealing. The gallery is also seeking artwork from working artists that is non-typical for their portfolio (such as ceramics made by a painter). When applying, please include the story behind the work and why you feel it is "F**KING IT UP" material. Please note that the gallery is not looking for poor quality or shoddy works of art—work should be in presentable and stable condition.

Eligibility: Open to artists 18+ in the United States and Canada. Work should ideally have been created in the last three years and must be original artwork ready to display. The specific work must not have been previously displayed in a Vestige Concept Gallery exhibit. Work must be for sale (no "NFS" or deliberate overpricing). No Giclees or reproductions of original works will be accepted unless the work itself is a Giclee or digital. Applicants may submit up to nine entries. Two entries are included in the $27 application fee; additional entries are $5 each. Minimum 2 work samples required, along with artist bio and statement.

The opening reception will be held Saturday, August 20th, 2022 at 6 PM, with the show running until October 2nd. Artists will be notified of acceptance on or before August 6th. Shipped works must arrive no later than August 17th, 2022. Vestige Concept Gallery will retain a 30% commission for any artwork sold. Artists are responsible for shipping and return shipping. 2D work must not exceed 30lbs including frame. 3D work or audio/video submissions should contact the gallery first.
