First Come First Serve Exhibition - Fort Works Art

Fort Works Art announces the second annual First Come First Serve Exhibition, opening its gallery walls to artists on a first-come, first-served basis. The gallery will feature over 200 works of local, regional, and national artists. The exhibition runs October 23 through November 30, 2019, with an opening reception on October 25, 2019 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Admission to the opening reception is $10, with proceeds benefiting the non-profit Gallery of Dreams.

The competition is open to contemporary 2D and 3D artwork from artists residing in the continental USA. Video and installation work will not be accepted. All work must be original, produced within the last two years, and not previously shown at Fort Works Art. Work may not exceed 36" x 36" in size, including framing. Entry fee is $35. The deadline for submissions is October 1, 2019, or until the gallery reaches maximum capacity, whichever comes first. Notification of acceptance will be sent by October 2.

All accepted work must be available for sale with a price above $250, and the price should include a 50% commission to the gallery. Artists are responsible for shipping work to and from the gallery. Artwork must be received by October 18 and must have hardware installed for immediate installation. Work will be insured at Fort Works Art but not in transit.
