First Annual Regional Juried Exhibition

This exhibition is open to members and non-members residing in Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, Michigan, and Wisconsin. Artists of all levels are welcome; minimum age is 18 years.

Artwork must be at least 80% dry pastel with no oil pastel accepted. Work must be original, not copied from other artists or published materials, and created from your own reference, life, a photo you have taken yourself, or your imagination. Artwork done in a classroom or workshop is ineligible. All artwork must be originally drawn and not created on top of any photographic image. Work must have been created within the last two years. Artwork sent to the show must be exactly the same piece as the photo submitted. Work must be for sale; a 20% commission will be taken from the purchase price.

Maximum size is 48 inches including the frame in all directions. All accepted artwork must be appropriately framed to museum standards using simple, tasteful museum quality frames; no saw-toothed hangers or metal frames. Either Plexiglas or glass is allowed. The Exhibition Committee reserves the right to reject work deemed unsuitable for exhibition at this family friendly venue. No nudes or controversial subject matter is allowed. Premiere Pastel Society of Indiana and the Jeffrey Krull Gallery are not responsible for loss or damage to artwork while in transit or at the exhibition; artists should carry their own insurance.

Awards: Best of Show $250, Second $175, Honorable Mentions with Certificate Awards. Submit high-quality JPEG image files at least 1500 pixels on the longest edge with a maximum file size of 30 MB. Crop images to show only the artwork itself without matting, frames, or background. Ensure images are oriented correctly. Entry deadline is May 23, 2024.
