Firehouse Art Center 2022 Exhibition Calendar Open Call

The Firehouse Art Center is accepting applications for its 2022 exhibition calendar. The center is Longmont's leading contemporary art center featuring national, regional, and local artists. The National Historic Landmark building features two exhibition spaces with over 1,000 square feet of space, focusing on accessible contemporary art that engages curiosity and conversation. Admission is free and the center serves over 10,000 visitors annually. The center has been voted Best Art Gallery in East Boulder County for 7 consecutive years and Times Call Readers Choice for Best Art Gallery for 6 consecutive years.

The exhibitions committee consists of artists, art administrators, business professionals, curators, and art collectors. Preference is given to submissions that are culturally relevant with a unique perspective and the ability to provide a diverse art experience. Cutting edge contemporary work and multi-disciplinary artists are strongly encouraged. Group exhibitions and curatorial proposals are welcomed, as well as solo exhibition proposals from established and emerging artists in all mediums.

Entry fee is $35.00. Applicants may submit up to 3 applications. Work samples must include a minimum of 5 and maximum of 10 total samples, consisting of 5-10 images, 0-2 audio files, and 0-2 video files. Incomplete submissions will not be considered. Submissions must be made via callforentry.org.
