About This Call
Files & Film 2019 is a juried photographic art show open to Florida residents. The entry deadline is March 10, 2019 at 11:59 p.m. MST. Entry fee is $35 for up to 5 entries, with $5 for each additional entry up to a maximum of 10 images total.
Artists must submit 5-10 original images created after January 1, 2017. Images must be 100% original work by the artist. Artwork size is limited to 60 inches on the long side. Artists should provide detailed descriptions of their format and medium, including presentation details. Files & Film accepts a range of photographic mediums and new media including motion photography (such as timelapse on tablets or projectors), but no narrative film. All exhibited artwork must be for sale, with a 40% commission to MIZE Gallery.
Important dates include artist list announcement on March 25th, drop-off April 27-29, and opening May 4th at MIZE Gallery in St. Pete. Pick-up is required by June 8. Awards include Best of Show ($500), 2nd Best of Show ($300), 3rd Best of Show ($200), People's Choice ($100), and multiple Awards of Excellence and Distinction. Pinellas County students in grades 9-12 are eligible for a separate Student Award Program with images created after January 1, 2018. For questions about media eligibility, contact [email protected].
