A juried Northern California competition and exhibition open to artists 18 and over residing in Northern California. The exhibition focuses on artists who reference and interpret the human form as subject matter, exploring how artists depict the human form through a modern lens and its relationship to evolving understandings of human identities such as gender, sexuality, race, and ethnicity.

Juror: Michelle Gregor, a sculptor who works with abstracted human figures in ceramic, applying Abstract Expressionism to figurative representation. Gregor holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from University of California, Santa Cruz and a Master of Fine Arts from San Francisco State University, and is a tenured Professor of Art at San Jose City College.

Accepted mediums include painting, drawing, sculpture, printmaking, and mixed media. Submissions must have been created within the last three years. Entry fee is $45 for the first entry, with an additional $10 media fee per entry. Artists may submit 1-3 entries. Submission deadline is January 23rd, 2023. Notification of acceptance is January 28th, 2023. Artwork delivery is February 3-7, 2023. Exhibition dates are February 17th - April 16th, 2023, with an opening reception on February 25th, 2023 from 4-6pm.
