Fifth LaGrange Southeast Regional

The Fifth LaGrange Southeast Regional is a juried exhibition open to artists in the southeast over 18 years of age from the following states: Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia. All work must be original and completed within the last two years. The competition will be held at two venues: LaGrange Art Museum (112 Lafayette Parkway, LaGrange GA 30240) and Lamar Dodd Art Center at LaGrange College (310 Panther Way, LaGrange GA 30240).

Submissions are accepted in the following categories: Drawings, Paintings, Prints, Sculpture, Photography, Ceramics, and Mixed Media. Artists may submit 1-4 images (jpg format, under 5MB, minimum 1200 pixels on longest side) for a $45 entry fee. The entry deadline is January 12, 2024. Accepted artists will be notified by email by January 19, 2024. Work must be delivered between January 20 and February 9, 2024. The exhibitions open with an award ceremony and gala receptions on February 24, 2024, and remain on view through April 20, 2024 (April 6, 2024 at Lamar Dodd Art Center).

Paintings, prints, and drawings must be framed or museum-finished, ready for hanging, with matted works on paper using white or off-white mats under plastic glazing. Maximum framed size cannot exceed 84 inches in height or width. Ceramics, sculpture, and mixed media should not exceed 6 feet in any direction or weigh more than 400 pounds. Installation pieces must be delivered and installed by the artist and disassembled and picked up by May 3, 2024. Purchase awards and merit awards will be presented. Artists are responsible for shipping costs to and from the exhibition. Work will be insured during the exhibition and storage period.
