FIFA World Cup 26™ Kansas City Host City Poster Design Contest

The FIFA World Cup 26™ Kansas City Host City Poster Design Contest is open to residents of Kansas and Missouri who are 18 or older. The contest invites artists to create a poster commemorating the FIFA World Cup 26™ coming to Kansas City and to help showcase the city to visitors and audiences globally. The poster should express a shared love of sports while capturing how the community works together, celebrates victories, and unites as the heart of the nation.

Applications must include three digital portfolio pieces, one poster design concept sketch in portrait format (594mm x 761mm), and a creative vision overview of 100 words or less. The poster must include the official event title and dates (FIFA WORLD CUP 26™, June 11-July 19) in Arial font, with space reserved in the lower right corner for the FIFA World Cup 26™ Kansas City logo. Disqualifying elements include stadium imagery, FIFA registered assets, brand names or likenesses, AI-generated art, political or religious marks, missing poster copy requirements, and multiple poster submissions.

The contest is divided into four phases. Phase One is the open call with an entry deadline of October 26, 2024 at 11:59pm CT. Phase Two narrows submissions to five finalists, each awarded $1,000 and asked to refine their design with committee direction and a provided creative toolkit. Phase Three involves FIFA selecting the final winner, who will be announced in 2025 and compensated with an additional $10,000.
