About This Call
Field of View invites artists to submit works exploring the theme of landscapes, imagined or real. The exhibition seeks work that delves into notions of place and examines how our environment shapes how a common view as a landscape can be different from person to person. Landscapes are interpreted in many different ways, most unique and identifying to those that call that landscape home, whether from a homegrown view or a transplant to that place. Artists are encouraged to submit artworks that push the imagination of traditional landscapes and how the environment around us can shape how we and others view a landscape.
Applications must include up to two images of artworks, a paid entry fee of $25, and a brief description about how your work reflects the theme. Artworks must be ready to hang or display. The entry deadline is May 16, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Works will be judged on conceptual and aesthetic quality and overall artistic merit by LHUCA curator Taylor Ernst. All entries must be of original design and personal execution.
If accepted, artists will be notified the week of May 19, 2025. Accepted artists are responsible for shipping or delivering their artwork to LHUCA by June 2, 2025 and must include a return label. An address will be provided in the notification email.
