Fiberlicious

Fiberlicious is a juried exhibition of fiber and textile art exploring materials and concepts that are attractive to the senses. The Loading Dock Gallery welcomes submissions from any media as long as it is inspired by, related to, or created from fiber and textiles, including the unique and unusual, 2-D or 3-D work, video, digitally-generated art, wearable pieces, installations, mobiles, or static work.

Eligibility is open to artists 18 years of age and older living in the New England Region. Artists may submit up to three entries. Work must be original and completed after December 2016. Entry fee is $35 for non-members or $25 for Loading Dock Gallery members (using CaFE coupon). 2-D work must not exceed 48" x 48" including frame and weigh no more than 50 lbs, ready-to-hang with appropriate hardware. 3-D work can be free-standing, pedestal, wall-hung, or ceiling-hung; free-standing work must not exceed 150 lbs. Installation artwork must not exceed 48" x 48" in circumference with total length including hardware up to 16'. Video submissions must include all presentation equipment. All work must be for sale. Work will be judged from digital images; work differing significantly from submitted images will be disqualified.

Delivery is by hand only; no mail-in submissions accepted. Artwork must be delivered by 3 p.m. on February 24, 2019. The exhibition runs February 27 – March 31, 2019, with a reception on March 2, 4-6 p.m. Jury notification will be sent via email by February 12, 2019. The Loading Dock Gallery will award "Best in Show." The Gallery takes 40% commission for non-members. Works are insured while at the Gallery with a $500 deductible per item; works are not insured in transit. By entering, artists agree to the use of their name, likeness, and artwork in publicity materials.
