Fiber Reimagined III

Fiber Reimagined III is a juried competition inviting artists to submit original innovative art created from fiber and recycled or repurposed mixed media. Artwork must include a fiber component or textile technique, be of original design, and have been completed after January 1, 2020. Artwork will not be accepted in whole or part generated by AI tools unless they serve as a conceptual starting point for significant human transformation through traditional or manual artistic processes.

Submissions are open February 1 through March 10, 2025. The entry fee is $40 for up to three entries ($28 for Fiber Art Now subscribers with discount code FRIII). Submit a maximum of 3 images (5MB or less each) showing full artwork on clean, neutral backgrounds shot straight-on. For each piece, provide title, materials, techniques, dimensions (Height x Width x Depth in inches), year completed, insurance value, retail value or NFS, photo credit, and an artist statement of 100 words or less specific to the work.

Selected artwork will appear in the summer issue of Fiber Art Now (released July 1, 2025) and be eligible for the on-site exhibition at Guilford Art Center in Guilford, Connecticut, July 1-27, 2025. The print exhibition includes cash awards: First Prize ($500), Second Prize ($400), Third Prize ($300), and Honorable Mention ($100). Jurors are the Fiber Art Now creative team: Lori Butanis (creative director), Barbara Delaney (editor), Beth Smith (managing editor and exhibitions director), and Cami Smith (media manager). Notification of acceptance or rejection will appear in your CaFÉ account on or before March 31, 2025. International artists are eligible.
