About This Call

The Albuquerque Fiber Arts Council will host a biennial fiber art event on April 12-13, 2024. The exhibition is open to all artists working in fiber-based mediums and is divided into ten fiber-related divisions: knitting, mixed media, beads, crochet, embroidery, machine knitting, lacemaking, quilting, sewing, and weaving/spinning. Cash prizes will be awarded. The Albuquerque Fiber Arts Fiesta is an in-person live exhibit where all entries will be displayed for public viewing.

Entrants may submit up to three entries per division and may enter multiple divisions. All entries will be juried from February 5-9, 2024, with acceptance letters sent no later than February 19, 2024. Entry fees are $10 for members of participating guilds and $15 for non-members. Entries must be submitted electronically through the CaFE application process with two photos: one showing all completed edges in a straight-on shot and one close-up photo. Payments must be made through PayPal. Divisional descriptions, categories, and general instructions are available at https://abqfiberartscouncil.org/fiber-arts-fiesta-2024/afaf-2024-call-for-entries/. Artists are eligible to apply regardless of guild membership.
