Festival of the Arts

Festival of the Arts is the flagship event of Arts Council Oklahoma City, now in its 61st year. Ranked #23 by Sunshine Artist Magazine in 2024, this fine art show draws over 500,000 visitors annually and generates an average of $1.83 million in art sales. The festival features two performing arts stages, international cuisine, extensive children's programming, and hands-on activities for all ages.

The event takes place April 21-26, 2027 at Bicentennial Park in downtown Oklahoma City and the historic Civic Center Music Hall. Hours are: Wednesday, April 21 (VIP Preview Event 4 pm to 8 pm); Thursday, April 22 (11 am to 9 pm); Friday, April 23 (11 am to 10 pm); Saturday, April 24 (11 am to 10 pm); Sunday, April 25 (10 am to 7 pm). The booth rental fee is $150, which includes exhibit space and electricity. Festival retains a 20% commission on all art sales, with artists receiving their 80% portion by direct deposit within 10 business days after the festival ends.

Applications must include an artist's statement (300 characters maximum) and six high-quality images: five of different original artworks and one booth display image. Work must be original in concept and made by the artist's hands. Three jurors conduct a blind jury process based on work quality and show balance. The application deadline is September 27, 2026. Artist notification letters are sent November 12, 2026, and signed contracts with booth fees are due December 22, 2026. Visual artist check-in is April 20-21, 2027. Media categories include water media painting, oil painting, drawing/digital/printmaking, photography, 2-D mixed media, sculpture, jewelry, ceramics, wood, and fiber.
