About This Call
The Festival of Arts in Gresham is a 23rd annual outdoor arts festival taking place on Saturday, July 19th from 9am-5pm in Historic Downtown Gresham. The event expects approximately 20,000 attendees and accepts the following mediums: 2D Mixed Media, 3D Mixed Media, Ceramics/Pottery, Digital Art, Drawing/Pastels, Fiber (decorative), Fiber (wearable), Glass, Jewelry, Metalwork, Painting, Photography, Sculpture, and Woodworking. The festival is organized by the nonprofit Center For The Arts Foundation and welcomes both returning and emerging artists.
Booth fees are $125 for 10' x 10' spaces and $250 for 10' x 20' spaces, with booths set up on the street. Artists must provide their own canopy (white preferred), fire extinguisher, and weights for wind protection. All booth materials must be fire retardant and no open flame is allowed. Artists are expected to staff their booths for the entire event duration. The jury process reviews approximately 250 applications annually and selects around 125 artists plus 20 exempt artists.
All artwork must be the artist's original work with no resale or third-party products allowed. Photographic prints must be archival quality, signed, and professionally packaged. The event includes a Friday evening community concert and auction to benefit the Foundation. Artists should prepare for outdoor summer weather conditions including heat, wind, and potential rain. If the application fee is a barrier, artists can email [email protected] for options.
