Ferment

Ferment is a juried art exhibition celebrating the rich history of beer, wine, and spirits through visual art. The Bankhead Gallery seeks artwork that captures the essence of fermented and distilled beverages in our lives, including vistas of vineyards and hop yards, and the beauty of growing areas.

Up to three works of art per artist are accepted. Participants may submit works on canvas, wood panel, metal, paper or similar substrates in any 2- or 3-dimensional medium suitable for hanging. All media are accepted including oil, acrylic, colored pencil, drawing, mixed media, and photography. Limited space is available for sculptures. Work will be juried based on originality, interpretation, quality, demonstration of ability, and use of medium. All work must be wired and ready to hang using wires/hanging systems and/or nails (D hooks preferred). A label should be attached to the back of each artwork listing the artist's name, title, price, and medium.

Entry fee is $25.00. Work must be delivered in person on August 2, 2022 between 10 a.m. and noon. The exhibition runs August 4 - October 2, 2022. Upon acceptance, artists must sign a release form giving Livermore Valley Arts the right to exhibit their work and waiving liability for damage or theft. If artwork sells, 70% goes to the artist and 30% to the gallery. Artists are responsible for paying sales tax. Work not picked up within one week after the exhibit becomes the property of Livermore Valley Arts. Nudes or inappropriate subject matter will not be accepted.
