About This Call
Gallerium invites visual artists worldwide to apply for Femina 2023, celebrating International Women's Day and raising awareness for women's achievements, rights, and equality. Artists working in any medium are encouraged to share their artistic expression about women, with focus areas including womanhood, women's emotions and happiness, women's freedom and rights, gender equality, violence against women, women in the post-COVID era, women's careers and leadership, motherhood, and women in history, science, technology, and education.
Selected artworks will be published in The Book of Arts: Femina publication and showcased in the Femina 2023 international online group exhibition. The online version of the publication will be available for free, while high-quality print versions can be ordered through print-on-demand services. Selected artworks will be exhibited online from March 8 to April 8, 2023. All selected artworks and artists will also be published in a stylish exhibition catalogue available in both online and print formats.
Submission is free. Only selected artists pay a selection fee of USD 40. Artists can submit up to 5 artworks, with a maximum of 2 artworks accepted per artist. The opportunity is open to all visual artists worldwide working in any medium, including painting, drawing, illustration, printmaking, photography, digital arts, fiber art, textile art, sculpture, installation, collage, book art, land art, glass art, graphics, jewelry, crafts, and mixed media. Artworks must be original works entirely created by the entrant, not copies or derivatives of copyrighted work. Artists must have all rights for presenting and publishing artworks internationally. Artworks created within the last 5 years are preferred. Selected artists receive a digital certificate, free online profile page on the Biafarin platform, digital social media promotional badges, exhibition poster link, and a report with analytics on views, comments, and engagement.
