Featured Artist & Online Gallery Residency with Helm & Oar

Helm & Oar is an online art gallery founded in June 2022 by artist and entrepreneur Brent Blossom. The gallery has grown to be named among the top online art galleries in the country with thousands of collectors, driving over 40,000 unique visitors monthly.

The gallery hosts digital files within its database and sends to print and framing production when artwork sells. Helm & Oar fulfills all orders through print-on-demand fine art manufacturers based in Portland, Los Angeles, Austin, and Miami, covering all production and fulfillment costs. Artists retain full rights to their work and receive a non-exclusive license agreement allowing Helm & Oar to sell their work online. The gallery is accepting new photographers whose work fits the gallery's aesthetic and consumer demand.

Artists receive a 20% commission from every sale. Helm & Oar spends over $20,000 each month on advertising and handles all post-sale responsibilities including production, framing, shipping, and fulfillment at no cost to the artist. Artists have access to a payout portal to track sales and commissions in real-time and request monthly payouts. The application fee is $50 and includes up to 20 images. Applicants must submit 5-20 images with a brief description of each image and be at least 18 years of age. The deadline is June 1, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. MDT.
