FAVA's Juried Biennial Photography Show 2025

Firelands Association for the Visual Arts invites photographers nationwide to submit their best work for FAVA's 2025 Juried Biennial Photography Show, opening May 24 - August 10, 2025. All photographic processes are considered including digital prints, film photographs, photograms, and alternative processes; video submissions are not accepted. This biennial juried exhibition is held in odd-numbered years and alternates with a curated invitational photography exhibition held in even-numbered years.

Entry is open to US artists 18 and older. Juried entries are limited to 6 pieces per artist with a minimum of 3 submissions. Entry fee is $40 for the first 3 images and $5 for each additional entry up to 6 total works. Images must be submitted as JPEG or JPG files, 1,200 pixels or greater on the longest side, under 5 MB, with sRGB color profile. The entry deadline is Friday, March 7, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. MST. Acceptance notifications will be sent Friday, April 4, 2025. Artwork must be received by the gallery by Friday, May 2, 2025.

The juror is Gina Osterloh, Associate Professor of Art at The Ohio State University and 2024 Guggenheim Fellow. Jurying is blind. Total awards of $1,100 will be distributed over three to five awards at the juror's discretion. Works must be framed with plexiglass using white, black, or metal frames with white mats only. No works should be larger than 36 inches on the longest side. Metallic prints are accepted; canvas prints are not accepted unless the submitted image is of the canvas print. A reception will be held Saturday, June 21st from 1 PM - 3 PM EST. Sales will be conducted through the gallery with a 40% commission.
