FAVA's Juried Biennial Photography Show 2023

Firelands Association for the Visual Arts invites photographers nationwide to submit their best work for FAVA's 2023 Juried Biennial Photography Show, opening June 10 - August 13, 2023. All photographic processes are considered including digital prints, film photographs, photograms, and alternative processes; video submissions are not accepted. This biennial juried exhibition is held in odd-numbered years and alternates with a curated invitational photography exhibition held in even-numbered years.

Juror Anna E. Young will conduct blind jurying with $1,100 offered in total awards distributed over three to five awards at the juror's discretion. Entry is open to US artists 18 and older. Juried entries are limited to 6 pieces per artist with a minimum of 3 submissions. Entry fee is $35 for 1-3 images and $5 for each additional entry up to 6 total works. Acceptance notifications will be sent May 1, 2023, and work must be received by the gallery by May 23, 2023. A reception will be held Saturday, June 24th from 1 PM - 3 PM EST.

Works must be framed with plexiglass using white, black, or metal frames with white mats only. No works should be larger than 36" on the longest side. Metallic prints are considered; canvas prints are not accepted unless the submitted image is of the canvas print. For image submissions, use JPEG or JPG format with minimum 1,200 pixels on the longest side, under 5 MB file size, and sRGB color profile.
