FAVA's Juried Biennial Photography Show 2021

Firelands Association for the Visual Arts invites photographers nationwide to submit their best work for FAVA's Juried Biennial Photography Show 2021, opening August 14 - October 31, 2021. All photographic processes are considered including digital prints, film photographs, photograms, and alternative processes, but video submissions are not accepted. This biennial juried exhibition is held in odd-numbered years and alternates with a curated invitational photography exhibition in even-numbered years.

Entry is open to US artists 18 and older. Juried entries are limited to 3 pieces per artist at a cost of $35 for 1-3 images. Submit 1-3 JPEG images at 1,200 pixels or greater on the longest side, under 5 MB, in sRGB color profile. The entry deadline is May 30, 2021 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Acceptance notifications will be sent July 1, 2021, and artwork must be received by August 1, 2021. Works must be framed with plexiglass using white, black, or metal frames, dry-mounted prints and/or white mats only, with no works larger than 36 inches on the longest side.

Juror Barbara Tannenbaum, Chair of Prints, Drawings, and Photographs and Curator of Photography at the Cleveland Museum of Art, will conduct blind jurying. Total awards of $1,100 are offered including Juror's Choice Award, Special Award - Architecture, and Special Award - Human Figure. One photographer will be chosen for a solo or two-person exhibition at FAVA in 2022. The gallery retains 40% commission on sales.
