FAVA's Art Fair in the Square 2023

The Firelands Association for the Visual Arts (FAVA), in partnership with the City of Oberlin, invites artists and craftspeople of all mediums to participate in its 1st Annual Art Fair in the Square. The event takes place on September 9, 2023, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at Tappan Square (67 N Main St, Oberlin, OH 44074). Artists will be allowed one 10' x 10' space for setting up a booth to sell handmade items. Setup begins at 7:00 AM with vendor check-in from 7:00-9:00 AM at the FAVA table in Tappan Square.

Applications are accepted from artists, guilds, art clubs, and craftspeople. The application fee is $35.00 with a deadline of August 8, 2023. Applicants must submit 3-6 images of their work, including examples of display if available. Accepted art categories include 2D and 3D mixed media, candle and soap making, ceramics, digital art, drawing, fiber, furniture, glass, jewelry, metal smithing, painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture, wood, and other handcrafted work. All work must be original and handcrafted by the applicant; commercially manufactured items are not acceptable. Acceptance notifications will be provided by August 11, 2023.

Artists must exhibit for the full duration of the event and are responsible for their own display booths, tables, chairs, and security. Electricity is not available. Free parking, artist hospitality (coffee, water, snacks, restrooms), and access to FAVA Gallery at 39 S Main St #210 are provided. There is no rain date. FAVA and the City of Oberlin are not responsible for loss, damage, or personal injury. No refunds of application fees will be given.
