About This Call
The FASM 2026 Juried Show is a juried art competition held at the Holcim Gallery in the FirstOntario Arts Centre, Milton, Ontario. Artists may submit up to two original artworks created within the last two years (2024-2026). The submission fee is $35.00 for FASM members and $45.00 for non-members, covering up to two pieces.
Accepted media includes painting and two-dimensional works (acrylic, oil, watercolor, pencil/charcoal, mixed media, textile art) and sculpture (metal, wood, glass, clay, stone, resin, mixed media). Two-dimensional works must not exceed 40" wide by 48" tall and must be properly wired and ready to hang. Sculpture dimensions vary: pedestal-displayed sculptures up to 22" x 22" x 44", and floor-displayed sculptures 48" to 72" tall. All submissions must be original artwork; reproductions, digital copies, AI-generated or AI-manipulated images, and mass-produced work are not accepted. Works must not have been previously exhibited at the Holcim Gallery.
Submissions are accepted online from June 1st to August 16th, 2026. Digital files must be in JPEG or PNG format, no larger than 5MB. Each submission must include a brief artist bio and artist statement (200 words maximum each). Successful entrants will be notified by August 29th, 2026. Accepted artwork must be delivered to the gallery on September 14th between 5:00 and 7:00pm and will be on display from September 16th to October 3rd, 2026. An opening night ceremony will be held on September 26th at 7:00pm to announce award winners. Awards include First Place ($500), Second Place ($350), Third Place ($250), and two Honourable Mention prizes ($100 each). Sales of artwork during the exhibition will be administered by FASM with a 20% commission. The Town of Milton provides insurance coverage for artworks up to $3,000 per work while on display.
