About This Call
Fantasy & Fiction is a fine art exhibition that revels in imagination, storytelling and the fantastical. Artists are encouraged to share work that focuses on myth, lore, legend, tall-tales, storytelling and imagination. The exhibition is open to all artists in the US, and all mediums and styles of artwork are accepted for submission.
The exhibit will be held at the Old Courthouse Arts Center, a 5,000 sq ft gallery located on Woodstock's historic square, northwest of Chicago. In addition to opening night on Saturday, September 4, additional events will be held on Saturday evenings, September 11 & 18. The show runs from September 3-24, with takedown on Sunday, September 26.
The submission fee is $35 and covers up to 5 images. Artists may submit between 1-5 images. There is no hanging fee for accepted work. Awards will be presented opening night, including 1st Place, Honorable Mention, and two Blue artist management prizes sponsored by Biafarin Artist Management. The combined value of all prizes is $800. Notifications will be sent by August 12. J and K Isacson are curators for this exhibition, working in partnership with the Old Courthouse Arts Center and the Northwest Area Arts Council.
