About This Call
Yeiser Art Center is accepting entries for the Fantastic Fibers 2015 international juried exhibition. This exhibition showcases a wide range of outstanding works related to the fiber medium. Contemporary and innovative works created with fiber as the primary medium are welcome.
The exhibition is open to all artists 18 years and over working in the field of fiber art. All work submitted must be original, completed in the last three years, and not previously exhibited in a Fantastic Fibers exhibition. There are no size restrictions. Multiple entries per artist are permitted. Artists may submit up to five distinct artwork entries, with each entry consisting of 1 to 4 images. The entry fee is $15.00 per artwork entry.
Selected artworks will be on display at the Yeiser Art Center from April 1–June 6, 2015. The Fantastic Fibers 2015 exhibit is an American Quilter's Society (AQS) sanctioned event. Awards totaling $1,750 will be given: $1,000 First Place, $500 Second Place, and $250 Third Place. The 2015 jurors are Marcia Young, Publisher & Editor-in-Chief of Fiber Art Now magazine, and Laverne Zabielski, renowned Kentucky fiber artist and author.
